Road Map Astrology
Life Mission can also be called life theme. Everyone seems to have a “Big Theme”, in addition there can also be minor themes, just as for example one can also have hobbies and other interests. The important part is that each of us needs to be clear in our understanding of our big life theme and the minor themes. With that knowledge we can plan for quality of life improvements. Each of us struggles to improve the quality of our lives, Everyone wants fun and laughter. Buthow do we make those changes, especially if we feel restricted or limited in our means to make change. With knowledge of our life themes Astrology can be a great road map. That road map is also our personal time line. A time line that highlights significant points of time and in particular pinpoints times of opportunities. Our personal time line! Our life unfolds over time, key future times can actually be pointed to and named. Those times are our future opportunities to make changes that can lead to greater freedom. Perhaps This is not an ideal metaphor, yet it’s useful, it is not unlike our driving experiences. As we travel we encounter points along the roadway which offer opportunities to turn right or left, to yield, or to exit. In our life journey we also experience such opportunities as well, yet we can be completely unaware of many those points that we pass, perhaps pass by daily as we navigate throughout our life journey. Two powerful potentials: to see the big picture, and the Great Road map that offers possibilities for subtle and sometimes dramatic change. An interesting feature of this road map is that like GPS (global positioning system) one can look forward as well as backwards. And actually looking back one can see the proof in the reality of astrology. But there is a catch 22 to this, in that people that require proof will deny the evidence anyway. But it is there to be seen. A key note being , that we can look at past and future significant windows of opportunities. You May wonder way we should be concerned about past times on our time lines, briefly it can be useful to consider how we responded in the past to opportune moments, when we are considering appropriate changes in the future. If you are familiar with the Astrology term “transits”, we know that the symbolically slower moving planets impact over longer periods of time, conversely fast moving planets create opportunities that have a shorter window of time. In referring to future possibilities, when I study a chart, I want to see lots of chart elements that support time related potentials and possibilities for changes. One item standing alone does not usually constitute a sign of great upcoming change. This discussion is about opportunities, of distinct future possibilities. Not predictions. Historically astrology was considered a predictive art. But my view is that all the opportunities in the world can knock at your door and you can still deny them. People love to refuse to change, even to the point of losing their life. Another easy to understand way to illustrate this is that it has been my experience that I can pass some of the worlds largest highway signs and still miss the turn! With those thoughts in mind, I prefer to think in term of “potential” and “possibilities”. One interesting observation is that in any chart evidence of stress with a reference to time will most likely indicate disruption in health, relationships or career. I am an Astrologer! But what I actually DO is offer direction, options and hope by drawing a Personal Astrology Road Map for each client. Each of my clients receives my personal time in the construction of their Road Map, and it's a complete analysis. A time is arranged for a collaborative discussion of the findings, and this provides an opportunity for the client to add meaningful insight. The Astrology chart is a great Road Map, it can give us good indicators of what questions to ask and suggest appropriate direction for future development. In addition to creating a personal or compatibility report, I also create forecasts using current insight and up-to-date techniques. A Brief History of Astrology Leaders in early cultures had limited technological tools. Some could use and manage fire, all early cultures had available the regional products of the earth, plants and their fruit. One tool, available and readily used, was the tool of observation. Over the ages, the benefits of the inherent properties of specific plants and minerals was observed and would be prescribed for medicinal use. So it was in our ancestors nature to look and record, and over time they recorded not only natural events and the elements of nature, but also celestial events. They began to note from repeated observations that when a planet would be placed in a particular place or constellation or at a certain angle on the celestial map, that certain correlations with human behavior would occur. This was a universal discovery, observers of the sky from vastly separated locations and cultures would note and record these celestial patterns. For example with the Sun in an area we would now refer to as Aries, and with the planet Mars near by, a child born at that time could grow up to be a great warrior. How I came to appreciate Astrology. Rather than presenting a typical biographical introduction, I would like to share how I came to have an interest in Astrology. But first, briefly, If you are interested in general background info: I have two college degrees, and currently I am under study with one of the worlds leading Astrologers, I can not tell you how exciting this learning experience is…other notes of interest: I’m the privileged parent of three great grown up kids; was involved in the field of education for years, and truly enjoyed the experience. I have a background in “traditional Astrology” but place contemporary astrology practices in first place.
